Ebenezer was founded on a vision. In 1994 we saw a great need in our community. We saw hurting children that had to be removed from their homes due to neglect and abuse. We made it our mission to provide a loving and caring Christian environment to those children in need. We have strived to provide the most basic human needs, love and acceptance, to those who God has placed here.

Ebenezer Christian Children’s Home serves as a loving and nurturing home to displaced children from Wilkes and surrounding counties. Our staff is dedicated to the care and well-being of each child resident here. We treat each child as an individual and provide as much love, compassion and attention to each individual child as humanly possible.

We have been serving children ages three through twenty-one since 1994. In that time we have been blessed by the outreach of the community without whose support and partnership we could not continue to provide sanctuary to our children. We receive donations from individuals, businesses and churches throughout the year. Semi-annually we have a Share-A-Thon with Radio Station 1240 WWWC AM to raise funds which help pay for our operational expenses. Annually we hold a three day Southern Gospel concert called Singing in the Foothills.

We have been blessed in our fifteen years to both nurture and minister to those children placed here and to be part of a loving, giving community which shares our passion to support children. With great excitement we look forward to the future and to the lives who we will be able to touch thanks to the community and to God’s will.
